Security

Your data. Protected as standard.

Bar Time is built for professional use. Time records are sensitive information. They are treated as such.

All data is hosted in the UK within Amazon Web Services infrastructure. Information is encrypted both in transit and at rest. This means it is protected while being transmitted and while stored.

Access to your account is controlled through secure authentication with multi-factor verification. No one can see your matters unless you grant access. Protected matters can be hidden even from your own read-only users. Protected access is audit-logged, and Bar Time platform administrators cannot access protected matter content.

Bar Time does not sell, analyse, or mine user data. Your records remain yours.

The system is built using a modern serverless architecture. There are no unmanaged servers to patch or maintain. Infrastructure is managed by Amazon Web Services, with strict access controls and detailed audit logging.

Security is not an add-on feature. It is a core design principle.

How we protect your practice.

UK-hosted infrastructure

All data remains within the United Kingdom, hosted on Amazon Web Services. You are not subject to data residency uncertainty.

Encryption in transit and at rest

Every connection to Bar Time uses TLS. Data stored within the system is encrypted using AWS KMS. Both states are protected.

Multi-factor authentication

Account access requires verification beyond a password. Your account cannot be accessed through a compromised credential alone.

No server maintenance burden

The serverless architecture means there are no unmanaged servers to patch. Infrastructure updates are handled by AWS as standard.

Audit logging

Infrastructure activity — authentication events, administrative actions, and access attempts — is logged and traceable.

Your data stays yours

Bar Time does not sell, share, or mine user data. Records are stored only for time recording purposes. You can export your data at any time.
